Senior Packaging Engineer

Job Functions:

Project management of several specialized part delivery systems, focused on Powertrain/propulsion commodities.
Specific activities included but not limited to, design racking, prototype and pre-production container buy off, container requisition processing, onsite reviews with customer, issues documentation and resolution.
Conduct root-cause failure analysis for packaging improvements, working closely with production and process engineering.
Provide complete and accurate tracking on the current status for all work-in-progress.
Communicate internally and externally with both the customer and supplier base.
Identify and relay issues and exceptions to management.

Requirements:

Minimum 8 years of automotive or related experience preferred.
Minimum 3 years of experience in powertrain/engine rack design & program management required.
BS in Packaging or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent Packaging Engineering experience.
Manufacturing experience required.
Knowledge of automotive specialized engine rack development a plus
Excellent organizational and communication skills with ability to prioritize work and issues in a fast-paced environment.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Power Point.
Professional and effective written and oral communication skills.
Ability to multi-task, switching between multiple projects over the course of a workday.
Follow-up and good interface skills.
Continuous improvement experience preferred.

This position will normally be in-office, with visits to suppliers and customers up to 50%. This position will require a combination of remote work, in-office, and visits to suppliers and customers, following personal safety protocols.

Pay: $80,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
