  • Edward W. Smith
    Edward W. SmithPresident

    Ed Smith has been with MHSI since 1999 and has had a distinguished career in equipment remanufacturing, real-estate development, and investment banking. It was on Ed’s initiative that MHSI was purchased in December of 2001. Ed provides MHSI with the support and means to take action on opportunities which benefit MHSI’s customers and the company’s future.

  • David M. Hicken
    David M. HickenVP Sales & Operations

    With over 30 years industry experience, including several levels of engineering and management within General Motors and Ford Motor Company, Mr. Hicken has been an innovator in the supply chain and material handling engineering industry. With his extensive experience in the areas of stamping, assembly, mechanical engineering, and design, Mr. Hicken has applied his expertise to develop and implement standardized processes for design, project management, and software tools to support both MHSI’s customers and internal MHSI employees.

  • Anuja Deo
    Anuja DeoBusiness Development Manager

    Anuja brings a strong background in automotive project management and engineering to the role of Business Development Manager. Prior to that role, Ms. Deo worked as both a project leader and project engineer at MHSI with 8 years of project management experience. In addition to automotive, she has worked in a variety of industries including brand management and health care. Her methodology for sound business development is highly focused on continuous process improvement and in recognizing customer-centered solutions. She believes that industry knowledge combined with strong leadership, effective communication, and collaboration skills are the key to a successful partnership. Ms. Deo holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering and an MBA in Supply Chain and Marketing.

  • Joyce Kindermann
    Joyce KindermannPlatform Manager

    Driven to ensure each client’s needs are met, Joyce possesses a vast understanding of customer processes. Ms. Kindermann has the foresight to predict how customer processes interact with one another across the supply chain, thus affecting project outcomes. She has been with MHSI since 1998 and has worked in all areas of material handling program management. Her consistent commitment to exceed customer expectations and her attention to detail make Ms. Kindermann an asset to the MHSI team and a mentor to many of the interns and junior engineers.

  • Margaret Peet
    Margaret PeetPlatform Manager

    Ms. Peet is a successful management professional with more than 20 years of experience in planning, developing, and implementing projects associated with supply chain management, material handling engineering, material flow, and manufacturing operations.  Ms. Peet has worked with MHSI’s biggest customers and is currently working on a BMW SKD (International) project with reported savings of greater than $2M in 2015.   While on a project, Margaret’s main focus is customer satisfaction in both quality and cost savings.

    • Marc Eichler
      Marc EichlerDesign Manager

      Mr. Eichler leads and brings new ideas to MHSI’s in-house design department. He works with customers from design concept to the finished product. After graduating from a design school in Germany, Mr. Eichler worked for a car manufacturer and was able to strengthen his abilities, particularly in the automotive industry. As the CAD lead designer, Mr. Eichler places great emphasis on the training and development of his team.

        Mr. Richards has been in the automotive material handling industry since 1994. He has been valued member of the MHSI team since 2001. His years of experience and his ability to lead and communicate in a team environment have greatly contributed to the success of the company.

          Bobby CharlesProgram Manager

          Mr. Charles brings 35 years of experience in the automotive industry and has been with MHSI since 2001. Mr. Charles specializes in material handling design and development. He has spent a significant amount of time working to improve line side operations with respect to material handling systems. Mr. Charles has a strong working relationship with his customers and is respected by his peers throughout the industry.

          • Justin Adams
            Justin AdamsProgram Manager

            Mr. Adams joined MHSI in 2013 and brings a strong background in various areas of automotive containerization. Before joining MHSI he worked in the consumer goods industry, helping to develop a methodology that stressing the small detail will bring the best product. In his prior role of project engineer, he has been able to hone his abilities in rack design and production principles. With a goal-oriented demeanor and strong attention to detail, he has become a major asset to exceeding the expectations of the customers.
